Hi,
I just installed Crystal Control on 64-bit Vista Beta 2 to handle my 20x2 LCD screen (HD44780) attached to printer port. It is giving me a "Error; Init of "Printer Port 0x378" failed. The module will be disabled until it is reconfigured" It cannot find it on the other ports: 0x278, and 0x3BC. Is there a change on the port location. I tried LCDSmartie and still no luck. Does anyone have any suggestions?
Thanks in advance, Darrion

Yes. THIS IS BETA SOFTWARE. All standard rules regarding BETAs apply.
If you do not know what these rules are, you shouldn't be using Vista BETA 2.

Really? Wow, I thought I may have pointed out something out in this BETA. I KNOW this is a BETA area, I posted this message to the "Help and Support" site to see if anyone knew if this was printer port error was intentional or not. If so, then I want to make sure this is noted to thier TESTING team for their list of fixes on their next version. You did not have to reply if you don't know the problem and/or the solution.
Thanks, D
